: “My most recent work is about nostalgia, both in medium and subject matter.
The subject matter has to do with characters and people that were part of part of the pop culture of the 80’s and 90’s.

During the day, I work as a framer, which has been influencing my work. My drawings defy the space the occupy, making them more playful and alive.”

Martin Segobia was born in Buenos Aires, Argentina. He moved to the US in 2000, and studied art in San Francisco State University. He has shown his work at 111 Minna Gallery, The Murray Affair, and different colleges around the Bay Area.
