These paintings are examples from the series titled “Luxuries.” These pictures explore the difference in what is manufactured as luxury, and what the definition of luxury can be among differing socio-economic groups. These paintings consist of multiple modifications to the original packaging of various U.S. consumer goods. All applications of paint, and transcriptions of brand images are done by hand to transform the printed box top into a painting.
