: Karen Cintron was born in Peru, lives in Brooklyn and has a studio in Long Island City. Cintron received her MFA from Queens College CUNY and works with the Citizenship NOW project and as educational support in the Family Programs at the Metropolitan Museum of Art. Cintron has had exhibits at Family Business, Casita Maria’s Gallery, The Baruch Performing Arts Center, and the Trestle Gallery and worked as a gallery coordinator for New Alliance Art. She is an oil painter and mixed media artist whose work involves her Peruvian background and immigrant heritage.
