This Photograph is a shout out to the BEAUTY of POLAROID, the design as well as the concept. The Rainbow OneStep - IDENTICAL TWINS photograph was inspired by the mix between my favorite things ... a sort of MASH-UP with the label maker of the 70's and the Polaroid Camera of the same era....
The Big Boy is an ORIGINAL POLAROID taken with the POLAROID MINIPORTRAIT 452 CAMERA. The camera was designed to produce instant multiple images, for Passports and ID's. By covering all the lenses except for one at a time, I am able to utilize the multiple lenses, shooting four images on one Polaroid. Growing up, The Big Boy was the iconic mascot of my favorite restaurant, also named Bob's Big Boy.
