16x20 inch painting of Captain America locked in combat with his arch nemesis, the Red Skull. Both are enhanced soldiers, and both embody opposing views of the superman. Captain America began as propaganda, but he has become more than that during his seventy years in print and other media. He embodies good and righteousness whereas the Red Skull express the dark implications of the superman aspiration: he becomes less human, whereas Captain America let's us know what it means to be properly human.
