This painting juxtaposes a contemporary icon with prehistoric cave art, inviting comparisons of changing environments and corresponding rites of passage. I paint portraits of concrete blocks and cinder block walls in acrylic on silk. I incorporate brushes, rubbing, and spray paint to transform the luxurious fabric into concrete.
